My Students

Many of our students come from homes in which the economic crisis effects the ability of parents to buy basic school supplies in lieu of basic family needs. All of our students end up needing these supplies again during the school year.

Our first graders are eager active learners.

Our students have a beautiful elementary school with a caring staff in rural Iowa. Our rural community is a great place for children. However in this part of Iowa there are limited job opportunities. The economic crisis has further limited the jobs. Our school budget is now also very tight as well.

My Project

Therefore there is a need for these school supplies that are used everyday at school and at home. Each child will have his own crayons, glue sticks, and pencils. Having easy access to these basic school supplies allows our first graders the opportunity to complete assignments without hunting for, asking for, or borrowing these items.

Your generosity will allow our students to be productive and creative without the concern of where can I find a pencil, crayons, and glue.
