Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are 7th and 8th graders who are eager and willing to learn. They come from a low income area that is underserved. They are all energetic and capable students in a new robotics program that need the materials and support required to foster and grow their education.
I would like to provide my students with every opportunity and chance to follow their own ideas.
By providing them with the materials required for robotics and technology, I can help them explore new fields that may spark a path down the future that will help my students develop and become the trailblazers for future generations in technology.
My Project
At our Middle School we are committed to provide our students with higher level order thinking skills. Our robotics program provides our students with an opportunity to foster imagination and creativity. The use of color sensors will improve our robots reliability. Our robotics program is an excellent opportunity for students to engage in a more rigorous learning environment and to share their ideas with students outside our school.
Advanced coding and programming skills are a must in today's technological society.
These higher order programming skills will help our students become better prepared for the jobs of the future.
