My Project

One of the things I pride myself on as a teacher is having a large classroom library with books my students enjoy reading. Over the years, a few things have really stuck out to me. One of those things is that certain authors tend to be incredibly popular with students year after year. Two authors that have really made an impact on my classes over the years are Andrew Clements and Kate DiCamillo. Year after year, I am able to read or recommend books to students written by these authors and they always leave my students begging for more! What more could any reading teacher ask for?

I am requesting several books written by Andrew Clements and Kate DiCamillo to add to my classroom library.

My students will use these books to read for pleasure during their free time. Each year, I do a read-aloud book with my classes from each of these authors, and my students are always asking for more. I know these books would be wonderful to encourage my students to read more often.
