Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school is a Title I school with a heavy newcomer student population. Many of our students are English Language Learners who are often hungry and need snacks. This refridgerator will enable students to have access to cold drinks and snacks to better assist with learning.
Many of our students come to school in order to have lunch so this refridgerator and microwave will ensure that my students have access to warm and cold quality meals!
I believe this fridge and microwave can serve as a way to a foster a strong community and connection between my new comer students. This fostering of community will in turn help with mental health and give my students an outlet to be creative due to the nourishment the fridge will provide.
