Give the Science of Sound to Science Starved Students
Help me give my students hands-on experiments to help them understand the science of sound.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Skyrose's classroom raised $245

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The two things that my students get excited about are reading, math and science. They especially love funny stories, weird facts about nature and mind puzzles. They get really animated when we do hands-on experiments in science and math.
My students come from all different ethnic backgrounds and cultures, but all of them have voracious appetites when it comes to reading, science experiments, and puzzles.
They act as if they are starving for good books and for scientific learning about the world around them.
My Project
In the 4th grade core we learn about sound and sound waves. The best way for students to truly understand the science of sound is to experiment with sound.
We have requested STEM kits that use experimentation to help students explore the science of sound.
These kits have 10 different explorations of sound. The students will be able to learn about volume, frequency, pitch, and vibration. This is a STEM project, so they will be creating things that have to do with sound. They will also reflect and discuss observations made through these experiments. Students will love these hands-on activities!
