Give the Gift of Reading to Underprivileged Students.
Help me give my students the gift of reading. My students have the misfortune of reading outdated books that are missing pages and turning yellow.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a first year ELA teacher of 90 students who are growing up in the same impoverished neighborhood I did as a child. I also teach at the elementary school I graduated from. My students are so full of life and look forward to every lesson they are given no matter their circumstances. They are bright, smart and caring children who deserve an amazing education. They deserve books that arent yellow and broken. Please help me enrich their lives.
My Project
Books are needed to enrich the lives of my students who are growing up in the same impoverished neighborhood I did as a child. I teach at the elementary school I graduated at as a child. My students are so full of life and look forward to every lesson they are given no matter their circumstances. These are children who witness the harshest realities, death, hunger, homelessness. They are bright, smart and caring children who deserve an amazing education with amazing books that allow their minds to go wild with instead of allowing the streets to steal another child's life.
