My Students

Our students are bright and eager to learn! They attend a charter school in beautiful South City St. Louis Missouri. The population is roughly 50% African American and 50% Hispanic American and all are enrolled in the free/reduced lunch program. Even though they are faced with the everyday trauma associated with living in a high-poverty and high crime area, they still manage to make it to school each day with a monthly average of about 90% attendance. Also, many of our students have been in our district since kindergarten. They are great kids and excited about learning!

My Project

Headphones are an important tool when using computers. Our students have headphones in their chrome book classroom but we ran out of money to get them in the library. We desperately need them! Without them, we would not be able to do many of the activities scheduled in the library media center. We will use these headphones with our Chromebooks in our library media center during coding activities and during testing. They will be organized and available for all students visiting the library media center. Each headphone will be numbered which will correspond with the chrome book number in use.
