This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Donating to this project will help my students take food home for the holiday season and look forward to going home to something to eat. Please consider donating to this great cause. Our goal, as a school community, is to provide food for our school community to take home for Thanksgiving.

We often take things like food, clothing, and shelter for granted, but school shouldn't be the only place a student can depend on for a hot meal.

I've heard the saying "Closed mouths don't get fed" plenty of times. The sadder part is that I've heard hungry stomachs from my students who come to school hungry because they don't have food at home. Many times, we assume that our students' home lives are better off than they really are. However; I have found stability, a warm place, and food are necessities that aren't readily available to my students.
