Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students spend too much time staring at laptops, phones, tablets, and other monitors. There are benefits to online assignments, but students need a break from looking at a screen. Making copies for students may seem old school, but working on a paper assignment teaches important skills.
By having a printer in class, students can work on assignments without logging online.
Unfortunately, my school does not have a copy machine where I can create copies for all 180 of my students. The once reliable class printer I currently have is old and no longer prints without jamming.
I'd like to give my students a screen-free assignment at least once a week and a new, reliable printer will allow me to print out 200 copies at a time.
