My Project
To be a Black teacher means that you will inevitably be supporting students in more ways than one. From being a shoulder to cry on, to a listening ear, to the curator of a room that is comfortable, safe and familiar, I do a whole lot more than just teach students what it means to read and write.
It's expensive to create an environment like this, and I could use some support! Help me continue creating a safe space for students by donating! I am specifically requesting items that have been used and loved by students all year, including: two comfy chairs to match the one that we already have, a plethora of Rasmus at their request, lotion, paper, plates, anchor, charts to help them complete group work in a comfortable seated position, and sharpies to help the writing pop.
