Help me give my students a quality printer, ink, a laminator, laminating pouches, sheet protectors and photo paper to print and protect our work and photographs as we create memories together!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a Special Education teacher, I know the importance of providing high-quality visuals to support our children's learning. It is essential to document the learning process and be able to do so by displaying footprints of learning throughout our classroom. Above all, children love and appreciate seeing their learning reflected within the classroom and hallways through photographs.
Being able to view their colorful work around the classroom certainly builds up pleasant emotions within our students; they feel appreciated and valued when their work is printed in color, laminated and is cared for in a special place in the classroom.
I teach ELA in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are facing challenges both in and out of school. Many of them are being raised in single parent households/shelters, by grandparents, or foster parents. They receive a free breakfast and lunch based on their socioeconomic status.
I have currently been printing all of my students writing assignments and class resources either in black and white or from my personal printer, which has officially given up on me. My students and I will definitely benefit from having access to a quality color printer, ink, photo paper, sheet protectors, a laminator and laminating pouches for our colorful classroom environment.
