I have a classroom of 20 amazing Kindergarten students. They are so eager to learn. They strive to do their best and to please the adults in their lives including myself. However, our school is located in South Georgia in a small, rural farming community. We are a Title I school and my students come to me with different levels of background knowledge. I have 7 English Language Learners, 4 Migrant students, and 12 students in our Early Intervention program. We work hard and play hard!
My Project
The Scholastic Magazines: Let’s Find Out and Science Spin would be an excellent supplement to my Science and Social Studies curriculum.
Our school system is a Title I school, and it has been quite a few years since we have adopted a Science and Social Studies curriculum.
Since my students come from such diverse backgrounds, they have a wide range of background information on different topics.
These magazines have great pictures, a wide range of topics to learn about, and an excellent opportunity to introduce vocabulary. I have used these magazines in the past and my students really enjoyed them and I know this class will love them just as much!!
