This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My fun first graders are learning about the many purposes of writing.
When they realize that they can use special supplies to make posters, cards, stories, and letters during free writing time, they get very excited about writing.
This project will allow me to put the "WoW" into our writing center. Students will get new name tags and have access to all of the new supplies: blank books, blank cards, envelopes, colorful markers, and a stapler. They will be able to make colorful books, decorate and write cards and letters using stamps and markers. They will become writers!
