This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I absolutely love my students for their curiosity, resilience, and eagerness to learn. Many of them face challenges outside the classroom, yet they come to school each day ready to grow, explore, and engage in meaningful learning. They are creative thinkers, deep questioners, and passionate learners who deserve every opportunity to succeed.
Students today are being swallowed by screen time.
It is vital for students today to use actual books to gain a love for literature and the benefit that reading can yield.
My on-going mission is to try to provide my students with as many valuable and enriching learning experiences as possible.
My students are in desperate need of actual books that we will use to explore intricate themes and the journeys that develop characters. To that end, my students are in need of class sets of the novels we will be using this year for our novel studies. These novels will help build the love for reading that I wish to instill in my students for this class, as well as future classes.
