My students need iPads with cases to continue to develop their communication and academic skills.
This project expired on November 28, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students are between 5-7 years old who have social, communication, and cognitive delays. My students are working on learning to communicate effectively, developing social skills, developing independent functioning skills, and accessing general education curriculum in different ways so that each child is successful.
My students love learning new skills and getting to show others what they have learned.
Each student is working on individual skills that they need to continue to develop. They are hard workers and we celebrate little victories every day.
My students are continuing to develop their communication skills. Many of my students are currently non-verbal. These iPads can be used as augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices so that all of my students can have a voice.
Research shows that AAC devices help students develop their communication skills.
My students will use these iPads to make choices, interact with the curriculum, and develop their social skills in the school community. These iPads will be my students' voices as they interact with peers and staff around school. This will give them the opportunity to have their feelings and choices known as well as to make friends with their peers.
