This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a first-year teacher in a lower-income school starting in August. I spent the last year as a full-time student teacher for no pay and doing classes after school. I worked part-time just to pay bills. I have not been able to get any of the things I need for my class this upcoming school year. I need help making my classroom a place that functions well and is comfortable for my third-grade students. The rug would be perfect for my students to sit on during whole group lessons. The organizers will make it easier for my students to access classroom materials that I will be providing to them. I will be using the headphones to help my students who are having difficulty reading. There are applications that we can add to the computers that will read texts to them. These are all things that my students would greatly benefit from and I need help to get.
