My students need math and science manipulatives as well as nonfiction references to help them apply abstract concepts to real life situations.

My Students

Every child loves to learn when they can manipulate, play, discover, and work together. These materials will set my students up for success in the STEM fields. Our nation's future economic prosperity is closely linked with this success!

Like all 4th graders, my students are active learners.

They love to be directly involved in their learning. I would love to be able to give them more opportunities to work together to develop a deeper understanding of topics as well as working on their social skills and problem solving needed in group activities. I know these would be a big hit.

My Project

These Math Activity Stations and Science Activity Tubs will provide hands on materials that will be used throughout the units that we cover during the year. I can foresee using some of them as introductory activities to build background knowledge before beginning a unit. I can also see using them as a wrap up/ review at the end of the unit before giving a test. The Science Library will be a perfect way to include nonfiction texts into my classroom.

A happy student is a successful student.

Not only will these materials make the day at school much more fun and interesting for my students the skills they learn will become more deeply embedded and ultimately lead to their success!
