This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

1 in 5 NYC public school students are homeless. They may not have a loving parent or family to hug them. Some live in group homes.

These plush animals will be something for them to hold and will let them know you and I care about them.

The fidget toys will help my severe ADHD students stay calm so they are not disrupting math lessons and reducing the opportunity for the class. They need something tactile to do while sitting. Thank you!
