Any teacher can tell you....small group instruction is the key to meeting the individual needs of each student.
I teach a mild/moderate special education class of Kindergarten-3rd graders. We are in a Title 1 school in a lower socio-economic area, however we are working toward boosting up our test scores and achieving academic success.
As an education specialist, my job is to work with students individually or in small groups. Unfortunately, I do not have a the proper work area that is needed to facilitate this type of instruction.
I feel that with the proper placement of this horseshoe shaped table, I will be able to pull individual students away from the group and work with them to provide tutoring and remediation that will allow them to become more successful in academics.
Your help will not only ensure that my students have a proper work table, it will also show them that there are people out there who are willing to help them on their road to success.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
