My Students

I am the art teacher for every student grade k-8th and I am trying to bring a wide variety of projects to the table that include creativity, reading and world studies. My students have often not done anything in art class but some simple drawing and some coloring sheets, especially with the recent year online I am really hoping to get their hands in engaging materials and widen their worlds in art.

We are a Title I school that strives to provide an excellent learning environment and bright opportunities for our students.

We are a part of a small (but growing!) school that celebrates inclusion, diversity and community. Everyone always says that we are a family at this school, we all do our best to jump in to help in other areas when needed and help all our fellow teachers.

My Project

A lot of my students told me they had never used paint before they came to class, currently we are using some old jumbled together paints that someone found in storage, there are not many fun colors that kids like to use. Often I am mixing a dull color from some slightly chunky red and blue paint that we have on hand, which of course the kids love but I would love to give them some beautiful colors. If you donate these supplies will immediately be put to use and in kids hands to help them think creatively and express themselves in a way they may have never before.
