Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students attend a Title I public school in a multicultural diverse community. Each student is offered the opportunity to free breakfast and lunch as well as various other free services. Our school is one of seven high schools in the city, and our student population is about 2,000 children.

They are eager to learn new ways to be creative and to use these art tools and techniques in other areas of their lives.

My students want to learn, and, most importantly, they need to experience the skill of applying the knowledge that they learn in school to their everyday lives.

My Project

The iPad mini's and protective cases will provide my students the chance to experience the artistic process of film making, editing, acting and explore various ways to be creative using technology.

The two iPad mini's with the protective cases will allow students to collaborate with one another to write, film, act, edit, and critique the films that are created.

By receiving these tools students will be able to engage their own imaginations and to practice their creative problem solving skills by utililizing technology to learn and apply the history and process of film would be extremely beneficial to my students.
