Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are multitalented. They come from all corners of NYC to learn about all the fields of Fashion. Creating garments meant for the runway, developing and managing actual businesses, and training their eye behind the camera theses students can do it all.

Girls of color are craving the skills necessary to break into the digital world.

The coding world will benefit greatly from these students learning to love coding. The will bring a diversity that is sorely needed.

Former students have created clothing with technology built-in to the fabric or used their coding skills to improve their designs.

My Project

For those students who do not have their own digital devices, this iPad will allow them to be engaged in learning in class or remotely. Paper and pencil will not be enough for students anymore. They need devices that are part of every aspect of our lives.

You can not learn to code without getting your hands on the devices that will get you there.

Students will be able to use the iPad in class to code, to create working apps of their design, and share their work with the world.

Completing assignments, engaging with class discussions, and even designing characters for the games they create on this device will allow students a pathway to success.
