My Project
My students reside in York, PA, and attend an inner-city high school. They have limited experiences and opportunities, especially in women's sports. Our girls have not had the same opportunities that the girls in our nearby school districts have since we do not have an after-school sports program for girls' soccer in the earlier grades. However, they are willing to work hard to learn the skills needed to be a fabulous team. Being a part of a sports team gives them hope and a sense of belonging.
Please help give the girls' soccer team socks and shin guards they need for success.
The girl's soccer team is very important to our school. The team gives the girls a purpose and helps build their confidence. It helps create relationships and keep them focused on school. For many our our young women, the soccer team is a lifesaver.
