This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This is our second year with Girls on the Run. Our goal is to inspire them to recognize their strengths while building a sense of connection in a team setting. We facilitate the lessons which is a blend of physical activity with life skill development to enable participants to adapt to whatever comes their way. We are asking for green tutus to represent our school when we run our 5K to celebrate.
Girls on the Run lessons will enhance students' social, emotional, and physical skills to successfully navigate life experiences.
At the end of the year, we will all celebrate by running a 5K. Having awesome, bright green tutus will enhance their 5K celebration while running with their teammates.
