This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are struggling with self-esteem issues and have turned to dangerous diets and exercise. I want to be able to motivate them to use exercise as a coping skill to deal with their self-esteem and emotions.
The hula hoops for workouts, bowling sets, air hockey pucks, potato sacks race bags for are resources I need to motivate and empower my girls.
Skipping lunch to lose weight and going all day long without proper nutrition affects their learning and mental health. This project will motivate my students to have a balance between diet and exercise and it will improve their mental health.
