Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love the bonds that our young girls are building together, they are creating a sense of support to one another through friendships. Most of the girls are coming from single family homes and are raising themselves.
These materials will make a difference, by allowing me to educate the girls on their body images, as well as teach them how to love themselves first.
Overall, this will strengthen the girls self-esteem, promote positive mindsets and behaviors. Which can create life-long learners, through basic life skills.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
