They are energetic and curious about what limits they can reach and push through. Our school is one of the most diverse in the city and the girls in our basketball programs have goals and aspirations equally as diverse.
My Project
My students need medicine balls, kettle bells, resistance bands, jump ropes and a storage unit to keep it all safe, to aid our strength and conditioning program. Our athletes will use the equipment to participate in an off season weight training and conditioning program to prepare them for summer training and their basketball season. Through this equipment we not only build strength, but teamwork and confidence. They will learn just how strong they are, improve their basketball skill, and learn about the benefits of life long fitness.
Fitness and strength training proves to be an incredible benefit to women.
We would like to instill a spirit and belief in life long fitness and healthy choices in our athletes. Being able to see the strength in ones body can help build strength of mind and heart. We know are athletes are going to achieve great things and we would like to help them develop many of the characteristics and traits it takes to achieve their goals.
