My Gifted and Talented Students need two large bean bag chairs to read in comfortable, quiet places.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. W.'s classroom raised $132
This project is fully funded
I teach second grade in an low income, struggling urban community in New York. I am lucky enough to teach a group of 12 gifted and talented students for the second year (I was also their first grade teacher.)
My students love reading and they look forward to independent reading in my classroom. They have the ability to read for long periods of time but they often distract each other at their desks.
I would love to give students the option of reading in bean bag chairs to cut down on the distraction and to also reward them for their outstanding behavior.
Please help my gifted and talented students stay engaged in the classroom! They are so bright and eager, but in the current situation I feel they are not working to their highest potential. These students are amazingly smart from all different backgrounds and cultures. It is truly a joy to teach them. I am hoping you can help me make my classroom an even happier place.
