This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our students love to learn! Our students come from low-income neighborhoods where the home environments do not necessarily have the resources for learning. So, most learning is accomplished at school with the wonderful teachers.
The students are eager to learn as seen on their faces when they accomplish new tasks.
I would love to provide my students with more technology to enhance their learning through a fun environment.
My Project
Indi is a very exciting robot that will hook my students on programming and robotics. Sphero Indi is a robot that is driven and programmed through color. It inspires imaginative play-based learning by empowering kids to design and build their own mazes while teaching critical problem-solving and computational thinking skills.
Design and build any maze imaginable, just like an engineer.
With its on-board color sensor and color tiles, Indi provides endless opportunities to rev kids’ creativity with or without the need of an app. No screen or other device needed! Kids can learn different skills such as pattern recognition, cause and effect, problem solving, critical and computational thinking, colors and directions. Solve puzzles, or the students can create their own, with the with the included color tiles.
