My Students

I teach three different Project Lead the Way Courses: Introduction to Engineering Design, Civil Engineering and Architecture, and Engineering Design and Development.

Students enjoy hands-on learning.

They are excited and eager to learn! Each year, our engineering program continues to grow. Next year, we will have over 120 students enrolled in the engineering pathway. We hope to sustain this growth in order to expose more students to the endless possibilities a STEM career offers and to explore trade options as well.

My Project

Makey Makey lets students invent by combining the internet with circuits. Students use alligator clips, a conductor, and a Makey Makey board for their creations. Students can make touchpads with any conductor. These touchpads can make a musical instrument, a game controller, a sensor, and more. Makey Makey lets students express their creativity in a non-threatening way.

Interactive, hands-on projects where students can explore and create has never been more important than now.

Makey Makey is a fun, intuitive way to introduce my students to circuitry and coding.

The versatility of the Makey Makey kit allows students to develop their skills and move on to more advanced creations and challenges when they are ready.
