My Project
Every year, in October, I like to introduce my students to some interesting (and spooky) nonfiction text. Nonfiction text is important for students because it can help them make real-life connections as well as activate prior knowledge. This book about Ghosts is written in a format that helps students to practice finding answers from the story, but doing it in a fun way.
Giving students interesting text increases student engagement and helps the learning process so much!
They love reading about spooky places that actually exist and the lore that surrounds them. Participation never lacks when students enjoy what they are reading.
