This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are more engaged when they are given the freedom to choose where and how to sit. These flexible seating options will contribute to learning by allowing movement for an active group of 9-10-year-olds.

Most of their work is done sitting at their desks and flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them.

During independent reading times, they choose a location in the classroom that is most comfortable for them. Sitting on the floor becomes uncomfortable sometimes!

During group work, the wobble chairs allow active students the ability to move while learning.
