I am a Spanish Dual Immersion teacher. I see 60 students on a daily basis and teach both Spanish and 3rd grade math core curriculum. Each of my students are unique and come from a variety of backgrounds! They come to school each day ready to learn and participate in their education.
They look forward to the challenge of learning academics in a new language.
I will use this money for the benefit of my students and to support their learning.
My Project
The books I chose are the best to talk about our emotions in the classroom. We deal with so many issues during our daily life, and this is something difficult to talk among my students. We all are going to learn through reading how to recognize and be able to talk about our feelings. We will also use the tools ordered to make this more creative.
My students will benefit from the resources by being able to recognize their emotions and talk about them in class.
This will help them to solve difficult situations they may have in school. This will decrease office referrals in our school which is a goal this year. They will also benefit in the way we, as teachers, can recognize students that require more help at school. Learning new content is easier if everybody in class feels comfortable and happy.
We will read these books as a whole class, and we will discuss the emotions we find, how we can feel if that happens to us, and how can we solve problems when we recognize a situation caused by a specific emotion.
We will use the sharpener to sharpen all the pencils we are going to use to create great activities to work about emotions. We will also be able to laminate flashcards or other materials we are going to use. We will use our guillotine paper cutter to create those materials.
The flashcards and timers will be used to be the fastest students telling multiplication facts! We are rock stars!
