My students need the reading comprehension kits to help them practice reading skills. The vocabulary practice will help my students to understand words and their meanings.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are all different but we are determined to learn together. My classroom environment has an air of respectfulness, honesty, humor, and perseverance. We do not tolerate any put downs but we encourage everyone to try their best.
My students are so bright and full of life.
They work really hard to learn as much as they can so that one day they will be able to make a better life for themselves and their families. Our school's motto is "Be kind!" and "Be courageous!" Our students exemplify these characteristics each day. Our school is located in a suburban area, that has a large population of Hispanic families. Most of my students are Latinos, economically disadvantaged, and academically challenged. We are a Title 1 school.
My Project
The synonyms, antonyms, homonyms, and context clues kits are exactly what my students need to practice the skills that they have learned in class. We will use them during centers so that the student can be self sufficient and learn at their own pace. They can practice as many times as necessary.
Third grade students must read to learn rather than learning to read.
These reading kits will enhance my student's learning by allowing them to rehearse all of the skills that will help them to read with understanding and confidence.
Since my students are ELL they need more examples and connections to help them understand the English language.
