My Project

My students love to play! We are very lucky to be in a district that sees the value in building in structured play time each day. The items I have chosen would help give my students new and fun ways to practice problem solving, learn how to share, and make new friends.

Kindergarteners love to get their hands dirty and explore with all of their senses!

We have a sensory table in our classroom that students love to play with. Currently we only have sand and some dump trucks. It would be nice to be able to have options for water fun as well as other toys for the sand. Incorporating science into our sensory tables will provide students with hands on ways to apply what they are learning.

Our kitchen area is a frequently visited center. I would love to be able to transform this area into a pizza parlor, vet center, or a grocery store. These items would bring new life to this center and provide fun opportunities for students to play together and explore the lives of some of the community members we have been learning about.
