My Students

Not all my students have access to technology at home.
So for some of my students, the classroom is the only place where access to technology is available to them. My classroom has three computers. If we receive the iPads and headphones, more of my students will be able to use technology as a resource to support their learning. My students enjoy using technology in the classroom. This is great because there is a big push at my school to get students to be more competent with using technology to further their learning. With more technology in the classroom, my students will be able to use their creativity. They will be able to communicate and collaborate. They will be able to do research. My students are eager to learn, but sometimes lack the focus. Integrating technology in the classroom will help boost student interest and engagement. High interest and motivation will lead to successful learning experiences for my students.
My Project
My students will be able to use the IPads in numerous ways. They will use it for listening to reading. This will help them with their reading fluency. My students will also be using the iPads to take their AR tests. This will help them with their reading comprehension. The iPads will also be used for blogging in my classroom. My students will be able to publish their work through blogging. I would also like to use the iPads as a student response device. This could be used as a review for assessments in the classroom. One thing that I would like to incorporate in my classroom this year is reader's theater and the iPads could be used to video student performances. My students will also be able to use the iPads as a resource when they do their animal research. They can search for facts and information about the animal they are researching. If we are able to get the technology materials requested, it will help motivate my students as well as help them take ownership of their learning.
I believe technology is a valuable learning tool.
My students will stay engaged if they have tools that they love to help them with learning. My goal as a teacher is to create life long learners. I believe that incorporating technology will enhance and enrich my students' learning by providing engaging and fun learning experiences for them. This will in turn help create life long learners. My students will have opportunities to become better readers, writers, mathematicians, and scientists.
