My students are so full of life. They come to class every day with smiles on their faces and ready to learn. They are always excited about what will be in store for them each day. I try to keep learning fun!
I say to my class, "Do your best..." they reply, "..and forget the rest!" I want them to know that I believe in them, and I want them to believe in themselves.
Despite some of the hardships my students experience on a daily basis, they are eager to come to school and give it all they got so that one day, they can be successful!
My Project
There is nothing more rewarding for a teacher than when your students all tell you, that you pick the best books for unit studies, and cannot wait to see what they get to read next! So far we have read A Fish In A Tree. We are now in the middle of Wonder, then we will watch the movie and do a Book to Movie review! Next up, hopefully, and with YOUR help, A Wrinkle In Time.
A Wrinkle In Time will be a great addition to our units of study.
We don't get to do a lot of Sci/Fi/Fantasy and this book would be an awesome first for many of my students. While the message is very similar to both A Fish in a Tree and Wonder, the genre is something most of my students never get enough exposure to.
