I have a super enthusiastic group of 3rd graders! My students are full of energy and curiosity about the world around them. They love to create and express themselves in art and participate in hands on activities. Art, along with Math, is a favorite among many of my students. Curious, enthusiastic, and creative; my students are eager to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge.
They enjoy experimenting with ideas, and finding ways to correct their mistakes through interactive activities.
My students enjoy using technology, and as children of the 21st century, they need to be prepared to use a variety of tools to engage their world. The skills acquired in using an Artie Robot involve coding, designing, planning and problem solving. All are important skills in today's world. It's important for children to see technology as part of a creative process, and my students would greatly benefit from the Artie 3000 drawing robots.
My Project
Using the Artie 3000, my students will learn skills such as basic programming, geometry, and math as they control Artie. Not only will my students be able to learn basic coding, the coding products that they produce will be incorporated into numerous math concepts. Students will be able to create geometrical shapes, learn characteristics of shapes, such as quadrilaterals, and develop skills with measurement as well.
The Artie 3000 Coding Robots will help introduce the basics of coding and fuel my students creativity and imagination.
This will make them more inquisitive about technology and the world itself. In addition to freeform coding, Artie comes pre-programmed with a variety of designs like numbers and letters, shapes, games, and line-art for coloring. My students will love learning how to code and seeing Artie transform their code in to art. There are so many ways that I will be able to incorporate Artie the Coding Robot into classroom learning activities!
