Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Sitting still and focusing in a classroom has become a challenge for many students after the pandemic. I find my students are constantly fidgeting with things and are looking for constructive ways to wiggle without distracting their neighbors. This is why I am asking for sensory tools. This will allow my students the ability to use a foot fidget or a sensory chew necklace.
They also need different types of chairs to sit in, so I am also requesting comfortable seating.
Students will then be able to sit in a way they find more comfortable.
My students are also hard on pencil sharpeners and pencils. My electric pencil sharpener has died, trying to eat through cheap pencils. High quality Ticonderoga pencils sharpen quickly and don't break easily. This will protect the new sharpener and also allow the pencils to last a month.
This group of materials will help my students better focus on their learning, so I can keep challenging them to achieve grade level content standards.
