This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students need folders, scissors, and glue to help them to be organized and successful in school.
Most of my students do not come to school with the necessary supplies.
These are some of the basic supplies that parents do not send in. I use the black folders as a take-home folder. Essential papers that need to go home are put in this folder. It stays in their backpack and goes back and forth from school to home. Parents know that it is there and needs to be checked daily. It helps with communication. Parents often do not send in supplies the students need or only send in a few items. Scissors and glue are things that do not get sent in. We use scissors and glue in both math and science. We have interactive notebooks that we use for both subjects. We must have these items for both subjects.
