Help me give my students a comfortable, welcoming environment in my new classroom. The standing desk will allow me to be mobile around the classroom and science lab while working on the computer.
Having been in the teaching field for many years, I understand the crucial importance of maintaining a well-organized classroom for the achievement of all students. Next year I will be transitioning back into the classroom, after 9 years as a Math Interventionist, to a new position as a 5th grade teacher.
Setting up a classroom with clear expectations and a comfortable environment is key to a successful year.
I will be teaching 3 sections of 5th grade Science and Social Studies which involves setting up an entirely new learning space! Numerous tools and decor are included in my project to ensure that student resources, organization and classroom management necessities are all well-arranged.
My objective is to establish a setting that fosters a sense of security, ease, and participation among the students. By having a standing, rolling desk, I will be able to move around both the classroom and science lab during experiment times. Fifth grade is such a special year for our students, as it is their last year in elementary. Thank you for considering my project and helping me to make it their best year yet:)
