This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is made up of 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students in a Title I school of approximately 2000 students. It is a school in an urban setting with limited resources.
Our volleyball athletes are very dedicated on and off the field.
My students are in need of equipment to expand our current volleyball program. By adjusting our training with the use of outdoor beach volleyball equipment, the students will remain motivated to play, continue enhancing their education and increase their social and emotional learning.
My Project
Volleyball is an exciting sport requiring teamwork, coordination, and athleticism. The growth in popularity of volleyball has led to the establishment of a considerable, competitive environment for teams. To stay competitive, I need to make sure our teams are equipped properly. Expenses include volleyball equipment, conditioning equipment, and volleyballs.
Volleyball challenges the mind and most often results in a satisfying experience, not to mention social and emotional learning.
It can often take time to develop volleyball skills. When playing volleyball, players will need continuous feedback to master the skills and have effective plays in volleyball. The volleyballs that I'm requesting will develop my players' ability to learn the fundamental skills, as well as the advanced skills for playing volleyball. The GoSports Slam X 4 Way volleyball game will provide an excellent way to warm up before practice.
