This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Science is designed to be hands-on and not "Sit and Listen and Write down".
Students learn better when they can be kinesthetically involved.
In 4th grade we learn about the Earth and movement (i.e. landslides, erosion, volcanos, etc.). Having demonstrations and tangible objects to use to teach this unit will help my students to better understand a topic that can sometimes be not as stimulating. This will also help my students see how the process of erosion can cause changes to the Earth’s surface and identifies ways to reduce erosion.
