Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school has been transitioning towards a schoolwide AVID campus, this transition has been extremely beneficial to my students and has made my work easier as well! One of the logistical issues has been how to organize and store materials from different periods, especially with our conversion from a standard 6 period day / 5 days a week into a block schedule. this schedule change has resulted in student materials needing to be stored and retrieved every other day, thus there have been situations where student work has been misplaced and even lost. I have tried to box up their composition books, folders, paperwork, and projects - however it has been an unprofessional mismatching of assorted boxes, it does not reflect well on the classroom environment. My hope is that with some professional boxes the students will be encouraged to take more pride in their work.
