Getting Organized After Life Changing Hurricane

My students need organized learning environment to enrich their education after their classroom was engulfed by water.

My Students

My students are well behaved, responsible, and eager to learn. We live in a small town with a very close community unit. Unfortunately, in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, our sweet little town and school got flooded and rocked the foundation in which my students live.

My student are dealing with not only their school, but their beloved homes due to the hurricane.

We are trying to provide our students with some normalcy by putting our school back together.

We our currently at the high school for half a day classes. Almost all of our school supplies, furniture, and equipment have been lost due to the over 3 feet of water our school received.

My Project

My students and I are in need of desks and storage cabinets to help organize our science equipment and materials for lessons and activities to provide structure in our classroom.

When they return to the campus, our portable buildings will be empty and unfurnished.

We want to continue to have our students to use hands-on learning to provide relevance to the lessons being taught. In our science class, we are constantly having labs to use the information that was taught in a real life situation. We will need storage to store our science equipment after our labs are completed. Our students have gone through so much. We want our students to to have something to enrich their education.
