When students look out of our classroom windows they see corn and bean fields. Many of my students have had little to no experiences outside of our small rural community. As a teacher, my goal is to bring these experiences into our classroom. By transforming your classroom into a racetrack, donut shop, or even a space station student engagement levels will fly out of the sky!
My goal for my 20 first grade students is to develop a love for learning and to be excited when they walk into my classroom.
I want to give my students every experience I can to help them learn and grow!
My Project
As a teacher, I need to constantly be growing in my craft. I encourage my students to be life long learners and goal getters, in order to teach that I need to demonstrate that as well. Get Your Teach On is a conference that is created by a well-known group of educators that I admire. These teacher leaders believe in collaboration and engaging students. This professional development will allow me to share the information I have learned with my students and other teachers in my school. Get Your Teach On provides teachers with life-changing, and one-of-a-kind professional development opportunities that can be implemented immediately.
I want to be the best teacher I can be for my students, and in order to do that, I need to seek opportunities that will help me continue to be a life long learner.
Going to conferences such as Get Your Teach On will support me as an educator, and support my current and future students.
