My Students

Have you ever looked at an electrical diagram? Those things are not always so much fun to look at. All those squiggly shapes and numbers! When I try to teach electricity through a diagram, kids can easily get their minds blown! They really need to make circuits to learn about electricity with ease.

Actually, since this is summer, I have not met the students I will have this year.

Our school, in general, is extremely high in free or reduced lunch families. A good portion of my children have very limited life experiences outside of their neighborhood. As children, they deserve more.

My Project

Learning about electricity is not for everyone. Failure to learn these concepts properly can mess up a person's understanding of energy for a long time! Think about it! If I can actually get these kids to make circuits in a hands-on investigation, they just might get it and remember it.

Electricity and energy are major concepts that should be mastered by all children.

The challenge lies in having the materials, because Lord knows I have 3 classes with fresh minds waiting to learn. Help me fill those minds!
