My students are smart, funny, and eager to learn. 7h grade is such an engaging time for science because my students are willing to, as Ms. Frizzle says, "Take chances, make mistakes, get messy!"
I work with around 165 7th grade students who come from all over the city.
Many of my students have a strong passion for the arts and technology. In my classroom I try to appeal to both of those interests. My students are constantly creating, designing, and sharing their work with their classmates, the school, and the community.
My Project
With technology advancing all around us, why should the classroom get left behind? What would replace a laptop plugged into a projector sitting on a cart in the middle of the room, dimly shining on screen, the ViewSonic LED touchscreen display will allow my students to see and interact with the content in a new way.
This technology will prepare my students for the future.
Standing in front of the class, presenting material to their peers, using the innovations of their generation.
The ViewSonic LED touchscreen display allows for communication between multiple devices, allowing me to connect student chromebooks to the display when needed. It also has a recording feature that can be used to post lectures for students to review later, or if they were absent for class. With the cart mobility, I can create small learning groups and move the screen to different parts of my room as needed, differentiating instruction. As students interact directly with the display, they will gain technology experience preparing them for college and career.
