I have 6 awesome students in 3rd-4th grade. My class is one of three classes in our district for students with autism. We love learning! My students are visual, hands-on learners who deserve the best academic experience possible!
We spend our days learning about academic subjects, social skills, and we all mainstream into general education classes to further our social skills and make new friends.
Our school was the 36th school internationally to receive STEM certification and we are a STEAM school.
My Project
Our class has snack time daily. Each day we work on social skills and refuel our brain power with a little snack since our lunch is later in the day. My students need to learn about healthier choices when eating snacks. Baked Ruffles chips will provide a yummy snack for those chip lovers without all the fat! Skinny Pop popcorn says it all, light fat free popcorn for my kids to snack on without all the salt and butter. Juicy Juice is a great alternative to those other drinks that have a lot of sugar in them. Help me teach my kids healthier choices while helping their energy levels last till lunch time.
