Where do I begin to tell you what I love most about my students? First, I love that we are our own little family. A family that grows together, laughs together, cries together, and is there for one another. We experience so much as a small little family during the school year and every day I feel proud and blessed that I am able to be their teacher even though they often teach me more than I can ever imagine teaching them. My students are the reason I love teaching so much! They are the reason I continue to do it every single year even though it seems to be getting harder and harder as the years go by. I love watching them become leaders and set and accomplish their goals and to watch their faces light up when they finally make the “A” on their test that they have been working so hard to get. Or to see the light bulb go off when they understand a topic, concept, or strategy and are so proud of themselves that all they want to do is teach and help their classmates. My students are some pretty amazing kids!
My Project
A document camera would help my students be proud of their math and science work. They would be able to project their math journals as well as their science writings on the board for their classmates to see. I want to build my students confidence in their math and science work by being able to show off their work as well as build teamwork amongst my students by having them work together to fix mistakes or give ideas on how to improve their work. A printer would help my students and I be able to print pictures and data for specific science projects that we work on throughout the year to increase their understanding on science topics. It would also help me be able to print data reports to provide my students with the best teaching practices needed to help them succeed and excel in all academic areas!
